Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a tattoo cost and how long does it take?

How much does a car cost? To determine a price for a tattoo we need to know what you want to get, where you want it, how big, what style and how detailed. The more information you can provide, including example pictures, the more specific we can determine a price for you.

Our start rate is € 80,- and we work with set prices. If it’s a bigger project we charge by the hour. It’s € 120,- an hour and we work with sessions of 3 to 4 hours.

How can I make an appointment?

To book an appointment you need to stop by at the shop. When booking we ask for a deposit of € 50,- for tattoos with a set price and € 100,- to book a session. If we need to sketch/ design a tattoo we ask for € 100,- extra deposit. An appointment deposit and a sketch deposit will be deducted of the tattoo price.

For cancelling or rescheduling you need to call at least 48 hours before the day of your appointment. There is no deposit refund when you cancel too late or if you don’t show up. There is no refund of the sketch deposit if you decide not to get the tattoo. We will keep the sketch/ design if you decide not to get the tattoo.

Does it hurt?

A needle goes through your skin so you probably will feel something. The level of pain varies per person, everybody has a different level of pain tolerance. We can not determine your level of pain by looking at you.

The more relaxed you are the easier it goes. Just keep in mind that it ‘hurts’ for a little bit but you have a nice tattoo that lasts your life. Generally it’s the fear of the unknown what makes you think that it will hurt.

Is there a waiting list?

We have 6 artists working with each a different specialty. De waiting time varies per artist. Therefore it’s important to know what style you want or which artist, so we can tell you if and how long the waiting list is. There is almost always time for walk-ins, if it is a tattoo that is doable within a couple of hours. You can always call the shop to check if we have time.

Can I come with my own design?

Ofcourse you can come with your own design. We do give our professional opinion if it’s tattooable or if it needs adjusting. We look at the flow of the design and if it will still look good after 10 years.

If you have an idea but not a specific design we can help you to create it. To make a schetch you do need to book a tattoo appointment and pay a deposit. If you don’t want to get the tattoo after schetching we keep the drawing to use for other customers and we keep the deposit.

Can we make the design smaller?

We get asked a lot if it is possible to make a design smaller. If it is possible then we would definitely say so. But most of the time a tattoo will not get better if it’s smaller. We always keep in mind that your tattoo must last your life and if a tattoo is too small it will bleed out and will not stay as nice as when you just had it done.

What is the minimum age?

The minimum age at our shop is 16. Always bring your ID to be sure, in case we ask. We don’t tattoo on hands and head under 18.

I’m on medication, can I be tattooed?

If you are not sure whether your medication will interfere in the tattooing or healing process, call or email the shop so that we can help you.

What is the process of getting tattooed?

When you walk into our shop there is a floormanager there to help you with all your questions. They will help you to figure out which tattoo artist fits best with your need, if you don’t have a certain tattooer in mind already.
Prices are discussed with the floormanager and/or the artist in advance.

When you have an appointment the tattooer will set up his/her station and a stencil is made of the design. This is just a line drawing of the design, so not the exact design. In some cases the design is freehanded on your skin.

If everything is prepared the tattooing starts according to the GGD hygiene guidelines.
